Paulo Henrique Castro is the CEO/Founder of Mediatech Lab, a new startup specializing in emerging technologies, innovation consulting, and strategic planning. As the former Director of Technology and R&D at Globo, he spent 27 years with the company, over two decades of which were in executive roles, working across various technological areas. He played a key role in implementing Digital TV in Brazil, in digitizing and automating processes, in pioneering projects in artificial intelligence and graphic/visual computing, agile development, digital transformation and in the TV 3.0 project.
In a new phase of his career, he re-established Mediatech Lab with the mission to push the boundaries of a Mediatech Company through the application of emerging technologies and forward-looking vision, offering the possibility of implementing disruptive projects with the expertise of seasoned professionals in various areas of technology applied to business, without investing in a dedicated laboratory.
Graduated in Electronic and Telecommunications Engineering from PUC-Rio, he has been a member of SET since 1997 and has served as a board advisor for several years. He is the former coordinator of the Technical Module within the Brazilian Digital Terrestrial Television System Forum and is also a member of other societies, such as the IEEE and SMPTE
