What are the rights of being a member?

  • Actively participate in the evolution of SET, considering its objectives;
  • Participate in activities and social events promoted by SET;
  • Participate in General Meetings by submitting proposals, voting and being voted on, provided that they are registered in the category of individual member and with current monthly fees;</ read>

+ - How are SET Associates divided?

According to the SET Bylaws, associate members are members of one of the following categories:
  • Individuals working in technical areas mentioned in the purpose of the Association;
  • Legal person whose activity is directly linked to the purpose of the Association;
  • University (3rd degree) or technical (2nd degree) students, enrolled in a course whose content is directly linked to the purpose of the Association;
  • Associated companies;
  • Partner entities;
  • Honorary associate: individual who has obtained special prominence in the engineering of Television, Radio, Telecommunications and Internet, for merit in the services rendered or for the positions assumed.

+ - How can I join?

Fill out the registration form on the website www.set.org.br. For this, choose one of the categories mentioned in the previous item.

By filling out the registration form and sending it, the member automatically agrees to the annual fee payment as determined in the Bylaws.

The form will undergo evaluation by the Board. After approval, the new member must submit the following documents:

    • Legal entity: articles of association, minutes of election of the board (for corporations), articles of association (for associations), power of attorney (if representation is through a proxy), RG and CPF of the legal representative;
    • For individuals: RG

The candidate must also:

  • Agree with the present statute and express, in its performance at SET and outside it, the principles defined therein;
  • Have moral integrity and unblemished reputation;
  • As a contributing member, commit to honoring annual membership dues.

SET produces a large amount of information that is published on the site www.set.org.br. Members can also sign up to receive the weekly newsletter, SET NEWS, and follow SET on social media:

               

+ - I'm associated. Can I submit an article for publication in the SET Magazine?

All members are encouraged to contribute articles to the SET Magazine.

+ - How to submit an article?

Articles can be sent at any time to the email comunicacao@set.org.br.

SET reserves the right to publish or not the articles submitted, which will be approved by the Editorial Board, according to SET’s technical criteria.

The submission of technical articles to the SET Journal is not exclusive and, by sending it, the author agrees to assign the publication rights to the SET Journal, free of charge.

SET reserves the right to revise technical, grammatical and stylistic issues in accordance with the editorial needs of the SET Journal.
