What are the rights to be a member?

  • Actively participate in the evolution of SET, considering your goals;
  • Participate in activities and social events promoted by SET;
  • Participate in the General Meetings presenting proposals, voting and being voted, provided that you are registered in the category of individual member and with the tuition up to date;
  • Propose to the Councils the admission of new members;
  • Present suggestions of social interest to the Councils.

+ - How are SET Associates divided?

According to SET’s Bylaws, associate members are members of one of the following categories:
  • Individual who works in technical areas mentioned in the purpose of the Association;
  • Legal person whose activity is directly linked to the purpose of the Association;
  • University (3rd degree) or technical (2nd degree) level students enrolled in a course whose content is directly linked to the purpose of the Association;
  • Associated companies;
  • Partner entities;
  • Honorary member: individual who has obtained special prominence in the Engineering of Television, Radio, Telecommunications and Internet, by merit in the services rendered or by the positions taken.

+ - How can I join?

Fill out the registration form on the website www.set.org.br. For this, choose one of the categories mentioned in the previous item.

By filling out the registration form and submitting it, the member automatically agrees to the annuity payment as determined in the Bylaws.

The form will be evaluated by the Board. After approval, the new member must submit the following documents:

  • Of the legal entity: articles of incorporation, minutes of election of the board (for corporations), bylaws (for associations), power of attorney (if the representation is through an attorney), RG and CPF of the legal representative;
  • Individual: RG and CPF.

The candidate must also:

  • Agree with this statute and express, in its performance at SET and outside it, the principles defined therein;
  • Have moral integrity and unblemished reputation;
  • As a contributing member, commit to honoring annual membership contributions.

SET produces a large amount of information that is published on the website www.set.org.br. Members can also sign up to receive the weekly news bulletin, SET NEWS, and follow SET on social networks:

               

+ - I'm a member. Can I submit an article for publication in Revista da SET?

All members are encouraged to contribute articles to Revista da SET.

+ - How to submit an article?

Articles can be sent at any time to the e-mail comunicacao@set.org.br.

SET reserves the right to publish or not the submitted articles, which will be approved by the Editorial Board, according to SET’s technical criteria.

The submission of technical articles to Revista da SET is not exclusive and, by submitting them, the author agrees to assign the publication rights to Revista da SET, without any burden.

SET reserves the right to revise technical, grammatical and style issues in accordance with the editorial needs of Revista da SET.
